These things are very outdated and are just an analogue potentiometer - Price was right!
And the DC to DC isolated Sevcon converter
This item replaces the old inefficient alternator - it charges the accessory battery from the main battery pack
(the old battery needs to be retained to keep the motor registration people happy)
The Sevcon is 300 watt "potted" unit designed for rough on-board vehicle use
