Wiring of the two shunts used on this project.....
(Red arrow shows the back of the fuse holders)
Shunt assembly front PVC cover and four fuses - Warning label added.....
Note: All wiring that enters the cabin that is in anyway connected to the floating main battery pack is fuse protected.
In this case both sense wires on the shunts are fused (total of 4 fuses as shown).
Remember fuses basically protect wiring (and sometimes equipment if you are lucky!) they do not protect people.
ONLY good logical design and insulating exposed contacts protects people......
